These pictures were taken at the 2018 Memorial Day service held at the Ennis Veterans Memorial in Ennis, Texas (Honor Guard) and at the 2018 Ennis Polka Festival Parade in downtown Ennis, Texas (Color Guard).
MEEtings of the detachment
The detachment meets monthly in order to comply with federal regulations concerning nonprofit corporations, to take care of business that furthers the mission of the detachment and the League in the County, as well as for the members to be able to spend time together in camaraderie and fellowship.
The monthly membership meeting is held the last Thursday of every month at 1930 (7:30 pm) at the Refiners Fire Ministries International (RFMI) Church in Ennis, Texas. All potential members are encouraged to attend so as to receive more information and join the detachment.
A monthly Officer's meeting is held the third Monday of every month at 1900 (7:00 pm) at the RFMI Church in Ennis, Texas. This meeting is a requirement for Officers; however, all members are welcome at any meeting of the detachment.

The Detachment's primary business (on the ground level) is done by committee. There are various committee's established by the Board of Trustees. Any Board of Trustees committee must be made up of primarily Trustees. There are several other committees that need volunteers. The location for these committee meetings is set by the Chairman.

The Marine Corps League supports the Boy Scouts of America as they promote traditional family values to America’s youth. The Eagle Scout Award Program is in place to recognize the achievements of our youth in attaining Scouting's highest award.
